The very beginning of the Biennial event of Circus arts on Saturday, January 24th on the Old Port in Marseille at 7:30 pm. In the opening ceremony of tonight, the Old Port will be conquered by a tightrope walker at more than 30 meters’ height. For the first time ever in the history of the city, the Quay Rive Neuve in the Quay of Port , which is in front of the City hall at a distance of 300 meters will witness a tightrope walker, Didier Pasquette, stepping over waters of the Old Port.
Around fifty artists on six different stages, from Ombrière to the City hall, will hold this exceptional and free evening party from 7:30 pm on. Accompanied with a Brazilian batucada leadered by Laurent Rigaud and orchestrated by DJ Zebra, the Circassians will offer a real festival of the well disciplined circus (thread, fabric, trapeze, pole, ropes, belts, juggling, seesaws, frames, balance dance, swing dance, aerobatic in the air). This real firework can be to addmired by the public roaming along the Old Port. Muscular men and their fittings will be there!
